The company PLAEX Ltd. was officially established in 2005, however it has a solidity in the Costa Rican market since 30 years, the business idea emerged from the production easiness in Cartago highlands. The knowledge of how to produce our products came from Mr. Ismael Serrano, who since childhood with his father, worked and performed the tasks of planting, caring and go out and sell to small retailers in the province of Cartago. Mr. Serrano, being a native of Pacayas from Alvarado, decides to take his products outside the country, making his first export in 2010; the company has consolidated in recent years, having more than 40 employees working in the production, packaging and logistics of carrot and cabbage.

Seeded in Cartago highlands (Tierra Blanca, Llano Grande, Pacayas, Cipreses, San Juan). With a thickness between 20 and 50 mm and a high nutritional value, especially in carotene. They are packed in bags of 1.2 pounds which are then packed into larger bags with capacity of 48 bags and then on scaffolds with 60 large bags.
